America stands for Liberty, not "fairness"

As Yom Kippur is here again, my mind goes back to that great scene when Neil Diamond and his father, played by Sir Lawrence Olivier, were reconciled. In the soundtrack, the song (Coming to) America comes right after the Yom Kippur scene.

"My country 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
of thee I sing,
of thee I sing, today!"

People come to America, people stay in America for LIBERTY. The freedom to own property (without tax confiscation). The freedom to express thoughts (without a midnight knock at the door). I pray that we can elect leaders who will bring us back to liberty and freedom, where we have opportunity to succeed, and enjoy the fruits of that success. No more class warfare. Leave that nastiness for nations without our vision.
